We provide services from our consultation rooms in Edgbaston medical quarter and The Jewellery Quarter. In addition face-to-face therapy sessions, we do also conduct online consultations which means we can arrange an appointment from anywhere in the UK
Yes, you are welcome to start therapy without a letter from your organisation or GP.
We have tried to make our cancellation policy as fair as possible. If you cancel your appointment within 24-48 hours, you will be required to pay 50% of your appointment fee. If you cancel within 24 hours notice, you will regrettably required to pay 100% of the appointment fee.
We aim to get you booked in as soon as possible. Typically you will have your initial appointment within 7-10 days of contacting us.
The 15 minute free consultation allows you to find out more information about our therapy approach and for us to understand your difficulties and challenges in some further detail. During this time, you may be asked some questions about what you have been experiencing and discuss the likely steps we would take to support you best. Following this, we can set up a suitable date and time for your initial appointment
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy involves developing strategies and identifying negative behavioural and thinking patterns that are impacting your life. CBT has a greater emphasis on specific techniques whereas counselling places more emphasis on you taking the lead on exploring topics to help you move forwards.
Unfortunately, we do not provide Crisis or Inpatient services. Therefore if you require immediate support, we would strongly advise to contact your GP or to call 999 if there is the threat of immediate risk
Absolutely. We welcome contact from anyone who feels that they require support. It can sometimes however be helpful to have a referral from a GP or other healthcare professional. This may provide more information about your difficulties which will support the ongoing process.
During your initial consultation we will gain some further information about you and discuss the approaches that may best suit you. Our therapists are trained in Person-Centered Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance & Committment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E).
Finding the right therapist is sometimes more important than the techniques themselves. If you feel comfortable with a therapist you are more likely to make progress throughout your sessions. That is why we provide the free consultation, in order for you gauge whether you think we are best equipped to support you.
Our therapy are £115 per session. We do also offer 6 session packages for a reduced rate of £550. You can contact us here for further information about any session fee queries.
We send you a secure payment link to confirm your appointment time prior to you appointment. We do also accept bank transfers and can provide you with these details if requested.
Our practitioners do work with a limited number of insurers. For further information please send us an enquiry or contact your insurer to explore if they would be willing to fund your sessions our practitioners.
Yes, we can provide sessions on a fortnightly basis. During the initial few weeks however, we would recommend attending at least once a week so that you can become familiar with the therapy process. If you have any concerns or are unsure about what might be best for you, send us a message here
