Couples Therapy at Swift Psychology

Rebuilding connection, restoring trust, and strengthening your future together

What difficulties we work with

Communication Difficulties

Misunderstandings can snowball. Skills practice, curiosity, and clear frameworks turn difficult conversations into opportunities for connection and repair.

Infidelity or Betrayal

After betrayal, everything feels uncertain. We rebuild safety through honest dialogue, boundaries, and guided repair so decisions become clearer and trust has a chance to grow.

Intimacy & Sexual Difficulties

Closeness can feel complicated. Therapy addresses barriers, pressure, and communication so intimacy becomes safer, more relaxed, and mutually satisfying.

Pre-marital Counselling & Relationship Preparation

Strong partnerships are built, not assumed. We hone communication, shared values, and conflict tools so you enter marriage with clarity and teamwork.

Family & Relationship Challenges

Patterns at home can shift. We map cycles, practise new responses, and align goals so family life feels more cooperative and connected.

Fertility & Miscarriage Support

Hoping, waiting, and loss strain the heart. Therapy makes room for grief, steadies decision-making, and strengthens support during treatment or change.

Separation and Divorce

Endings are rarely simple. We provide space to process, co-parent well, and design a future that reflects your values and needs.

Trust Issues

Suspicion can become exhausting. Therapy explores roots, boundaries, and consistent behaviours that support reliability and closeness.

Frequent Conflict or Arguments

Arguments repeat for reasons. We identify the pattern, practise de-escalation, and build repair rituals so disagreements become productive instead of destructive.

What can you expect in therapy?

Clarity helps. Here is what therapy usually looks like with Swift Psychology.

1. Initial enquiry
We schedule an initial call for you to share your situation and ask any questions you may have. We match you with a clinician experienced in the areas you want guided support with.
2. Assessment
We explore your current symptoms, history, routines, lifestyle factors, and what’s most important to you. Together, we decide on the pace and format of sessions that works best for you.
3. Shared plan
We co-create goals that matter to you, for example, managing anxiety, lifting low mood, reducing stress, or building self-confidence.
4. Core sessions
We provide weekly sessions using evidence-based therapy approaches. Sessions may include skills practice, reflection, and tools you can apply in your day-to-day life.
5. Reviews
We pause periodically to check progress, refine strategies, and ensure the approach feels right. With your consent, we can liaise with your GP or workplace if required.
6. Consolidation
We focus on maintaining progress, strengthening coping skills, and preparing you for challenges such as high-risk scenarios where symptoms may re-emerge, work stressors, or personal transitions.
7. Follow-up
Optional check-ins support you during future stressors, life changes, or relapses and ensure that you are continuing your progress.
